Look at your face, man
When I was still in high school, I was a dreamer. I dreamed about getting those big guns, tight abs, and Cristiano Ronaldo’s thighs. I dreamed and dreamed, and before I knew it, I was an overweight high school kid. My brother woke me up, “Look at your face, man. You spend so much time on Facebook. Get your butt up and do something!”
Thanks, bro! I was lazy at first, but I got up, picked up skateboarding, and created this “Skatebook” years after. Part of the reason is that it’s a solo sport. I don’t have to play in teams or let my team down because of my weight. Second, it’s easier than biking (at least for me).
Thanks to the sport, I got to meet some of the greatest people ever. They helped me tremendously with my skills. They were very welcoming and accepting. They didn’t make fun of me because I was fat (well, sometimes). But I felt like a family being together. We actually became a family recently. I got engaged with one of the best girls I could find.
Although we don’t hope this Skatebook will be a crazy hit like Facebook, it is our hope to share our love with the world and build a great community of skateboarders.
